Garden Revamp Journey
Step 1: Cleared the Overgrowth
Removed all the dead leaves, weeds, and loose debris covering the garden bed.
Cut back or completely removed the wild, overgrown brush and extra bushes to open up the space.
Step 2: Grubbed and Removed Lower Roots
Dug into the soil to remove the old, stubborn lower roots of the cleared plants.
This ensures the unwanted brush won't easily grow back and prepares a clean slate for the soil.
Step 3: Reshaped and Defined the Stone Border
Readjusted and lined up the large natural stones along the edge of the driveway.
This created a defined, deliberate, and clean retaining border for the entire garden bed.
Step 4: Managed and Pruned the Main Trees/Shrubs
Kept and neatly pruned the focal bushes and small trees in the bed, clearing out their lower branches to give them a structured look.
Trimmed the low green hedge running along the brick foundation to make it tight and tidy.
Step 5: Applied Fresh Dark Mulch
Spread a thick, even layer of rich dark mulch across the entire garden bed.
This instantly tied the look together, highlighted the stones, and will help prevent future weed growth.

They transformed my backyard into a peaceful garden retreat beyond my dreams.
